The Culture of Peace Site

Why?

The Culture of Peace Site is designed by World Scouting and UNESCO as an on-line resource for Scouts world-wide to learn about and to get involved in the Culture of Peace.

When?

The Site has officially been opened at the 19th World Scout Jamboree in Chile, at the end of December 1998, with the participation of some 30,000 Scouts from 150 countries.

How?

The Site is full of games and activities for Scouts to work with the concepts of a Culture of Peace. Through these activities Scouts will be able to use these principles in their Scouting activities, and communicate them to friends, family, etc.

What to do?

Get involved now. Have your Scout group discuss it, and send a reportage to the Site. The reports sent into the Site will go to a moderator and those chosen for publication will be published in the Journal of Peace.
